A house fire with a possible explosion at 5300 Pecos Pass off East Boulevard resulting in one fatality, has been reported, according to Deputy Rich Aloy, Santa Rosa County Sheriff public information officer.
According to a news release from Aloy at about 2: 15 p.m. on April 25, an adult male was in the home at the time of the fire, and he died on scene.
The Sheriff's Office, fire department and fire marshal investigated and determined there was evidence located in the home and the immediate area "which was consistent with the production of Methamphetamines," according to the release.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin. The fire is being investigated by the fire marshal and the Sheriff's Office deputies are investigating the incident.
