Biker charged in beach collision

Florida Highway Patrol charged James Cody, 64, of Navarre Beach with not having insurance while not wearing a helmet on Dec. 31 after his motorcycle collided with a car on White Sands Boulevard.

According to the FHP report, Cody was driving his Harley Davidson motorcycle and Deborah Adams, 53, of Navarre Beach was driving a Toyota sedan west on White Sands Boulevard when their vehicles’ left front sides hit each other.

Cody told the FHP that Adams’ vehicle turned left into his path. Adams told FHP that she was stopped waiting for the motorcycle to pass when it veered left and hit her vehicle.

Cody was transported to Gulf Breeze Hospital for minor injuries. Adams had no injuries.
