Salter declares Daniel Palmer Day

Friday, July 27, is officially Daniel Palmer Day in Santa Rosa County.

Corporal Daniel Palmer, USMC, a Milton native and wounded veteran, arrived to a hangar brimming with elected officials, Escambia and Santa Rosa county residents, active duty servicemen and women from all branches, and retired military members, as well as friends and family at 11a.m. on July 27 at Pensacola Aviation.

Commissioner Don Salter told Palmer and his wife Becky that “On behalf of the Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners and all the citizens of Santa Rosa County, Daniel, welcome home… We are declaring Friday, July 27, 2012 as Daniel Palmer Day in Santa Rosa County.
