Hurlburt closes Hwy 98 for construction

A section of U.S. Highway 98, located directly in front of Hurlburt Field, will be closed April 15, beginning at 2 a.m., due to construction at the base pedestrian bridge.

Traffic on U.S. 98 will be stopped and will reopen at about 8 a.m. Travel will be limited to two-way traffic. Hurlburt Field is working with local authorities to ensure that designated emergency vehicles have access through base if needed. This closure ensures the safety of base personnel and local community population as work is completed on Hurlburt Field facilities.
