GB teen critically hurt in wreck

A Gulf Breeze teen was listed in critical condition Tuesday at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola following a single car crash on Hickory Shores Boulevard.

 

Whitney S. Jones, 17, of Gulf Breeze, was injured after she lost control of the car she was driving, and veered onto the shoulder of the roadway, west of Mohawk Trail, shortly after 5:30 p.m. Nov. 22.

The car spun clockwise and then struck a tree.

Her passenger, Zachary R. Wardle, 21, also of Gulf Breeze, was treated for serious injuries at Gulf Breeze Hospital.

Charges are pending a Florida Highway Patrol investigation.
