Death investigated at Surfside Storage

Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a death at Surfside Storage in Navarre. The storage units were blocked off by yellow tape as Lead Investigator Baney conducted his investigation about 10 a.m.

Sgt. Scott Haines, sheriff's department public information officer, said a call was received  early this morning regarding a subject located at surfside storage. He was inside of a vehicle on the property slumped over. Haines said there were no visible signs of trauma on him.

"We’re working it as a death investigation, it’s very early, we’re treating it as a death investigation. Nothing jumps out as suspicious," he said.
