Navarre man dies after alcohol-related wreck

A Navarre man died last night, succumbing to injuries he sustained in a vehicle accident near U.S. Highway 98 earlier that evening.

According to a report issued by the Florida Highway Patrol, Jeremy D. Locke, 28, was transported via Life Flight to Baptist Hospital in Gulf Breeze after the car he was driving hit a pole.

His passenger sustained only minor injuries.

According to witnesses, power in the area was out for several hours following crash.

Alcohol was a factor in the wreck, which is still under investigation.
