Raiders blast Gators in district-baseball opener

Justin Jordan cranked a grand slam, leading to an eight-run first inning, and Nick Combs pitched a complete game, as the Navarre High School Raiders baseball team blasted the Pensacola Escambia Gators, 11-2, in the first round of the district tournament at Pace on April 27.

Devante Taylor and Jordan each had three hits in the rout of Escambia.

The Raiders now face the Pace Patriots at 7:30 p.m., April 28, in a second-round game.
