NHS baseball team wins season finale, distrct tourney on deck

The Navarre High School Raiders baseball team defeated visiting Pensacola Washington, 3-2, on Senior Night, April 22.

Winning pitcher,Tyler Albin threw six strong innings, and Marquis Hagewood hit a homer and got the save, as the Raiders registered their ninth win of the season.

With the April 23 game against visting Fort Walton Beach being cancelled because of weather, the Raiders now set their sights on the District 1-5A  tournament at Pace, beginning on Tuesday, April 27, 4:30 p.m., when they take on the Escambia Gators.

The winner of that game will play on Wednesday night, April 28, at 7:30 p.m.

The district champtionship game will be Thursday night, April 29, at 7 p.m.
