State Road 87 now open after fatal wreck

Both north and south lanes of State Road 87 south of the Yellow River are now open after a two-car fatal accident, which occured around 2:40 p.m. closed both lanes.

One of the drivers was pronounced on scene and a child was taken to a nearby hospital. Traffic is being rerouted and motorists can expect heavy delays.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating
