Weather Outlook

• The National Weather Service is predicting severe weather including seven to eight inches of rain in the next 24 hours.  Strong winds, tornadoes, road flooding and beach erosion are possible.
• Rain is expected to cause standing water and flooding in low-lowing areas that typically flood during heavy rain.
• Drivers are asked to respect the power of water.  Please observe local detours and road closures. It only takes a few feet of moving water to knock most cars off the road. Motorist should always avoid crossing flooded streets and should never attempt to cross flooded bridges.
• Please monitor your home weather radio and local media outlets for the most up-to-date information.

• The citizen information line is currently open and will remain open through the evening to answer residents’ calls at (850) 983-4636 or 983- INFO.
• Emergency Communications sent a reverse 9-1-1 message to residents and businesses on Navarre Beach and inland areas that typically flood during large rainfall events.
• The emergency operations center is at a level 3 activation or monitoring with all emergency support staff on stand by to respond as needed.

• Dangerous road conditions can be reported to the Santa Rosa County Road and Bridge Department at (850) 626-0191.
• Road closures will be announced as information is available.  

·     Please do not call 9-1- or the citizen information line to report power outages. Power outages should be reported to Gulf Power at 1-800-GU-Power (1-800-487-6937) or Escambia River Cooperative, Inc. at 1-877-688-3732.   Safety Information
