Brien Albert Dykes-Zozaya, 5 months old, passed away at Sacred Heart Hospital on September 18, 2009.

He was born on April 10, 2009 in Pensacola, Florida at Sacred Heart Hospital to Crystal Zozaya and Brandon Dykes. Brien was Baptized into the Catholic Faith on July 18, 2009. Brien was a beautiful baby who was full of life. He enjoyed visitors, liked to listen to his music, and have stories read to him.

 

Brien is survived by his parents, Crystal and Brandon; maternal grandparents Susan and Joe Venegas; God Parents, Michael and Cassandra Venegas; his uncles Chris and Stephen Venegas, great grandparents, Mary and Elijio Venegas, Jenny and Josef Zozaya; great-great grandmother Alice Muniz; paternal grandparents, Deborah Howell and Gregory Dykes, his uncle Chad Dykes; great grandparents, Randy & Aline Broxson, Tom and Nel Dykes, Joanne Ricker.

 He was preceded in death by his great-great grandfather Alberto Muniz and great grandfather Paul Mullett.  Relatives and friends are welcome at Faith Chapel Funeral Home, 100 Beverly Parkway, Pensacola, FL on Wednesday, September 23rd from 5:00-7:00PM and Thursday, September 24th from 10:00AM-12:00PM for a visitation.  

Funeral service for Brien Albert Dykes-Zozaya will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 24th, at St. Sylvester Catholic Church, 6464 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Navarre, FL. Father John Kelly will preside over the mass followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, 1300 E. Hayes St, Pensacola, FL.
