No charges will be filed against Monica Rothrock, the driver who struck and killed Elizabeth Dawn Allmon, on June 9.
According to Lt. Steve Preston, public information officer for the Florida Highway Patrol, the FHP's investigation concluded Aug. 10 and as a result, no criminal violations were discovered.
"She was issued a citation for failure to stay inside the lanes," Preston said.
Allmon, 51, most known as the "Bike Lady," was riding her bike on U.S. Highway 98 near CVS when Rothrock, 41, "allowed her Ford Focus to drift across the line, striking Allmon," according to a FHP press release.
Allmon was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.
