Wakulla 2, Navarre 0: Loss ends Raiders' season

Wakulla High School beat Navarre 2-0 in the Florida High School Athletic Association Region 1-4A softball tournament quarterfinals Tuesday, ending the Raiders' season.

 

Mandy McClendon allowed just two hits  and a walk in seven innings against Navarre, and struck out eight Raiders on her way to her 17th win of the season. The War Eagles, 21-3, are scheduled to host Gulf Breeze at 6 p.m. Friday in the region semifinals.

 

Jennifer Bennett and Emily Pettigrew had Navarre's hits. The Raiders ended the season with a 13-14 overall record.
