The Andrews Institute in Gulf Breeze will hold a free weightlifitng injury-prevention course for adolescent and high school athletes on from 5:30-7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29 at the Andrews-Paulos Research & Education Institute, Classrooms A & B, at the Andrews Institute Campus, 1020 Gulf Breeze Parkway.
Topics will include common injuries when lifting improperly and the benefits of proper weight training. High school and adolescent-aged athletes, parents, coaches, athletic trainers and physical therapists are encouraged to attend. A complete course schedule is available at www.theandrewsinstitute.com.
Faculty will provide hands-on instruction teaching proper weightlifting techniques. Participants should be prepared to exercise and dress in athletic clothing.
