The Florida Division of Forestry Blackwater Forestry Center has announced the closing of the Coldwater Recreation Area and Hurricane North Recreation Areas on Blackwater River State Forest because of storm damage.

 

The Coldwater area will be closed at least until April 12 and Hurricane North Recreation Area will be closed until further notice due to infrastructure damage. Presently all primary roads on the state forest are open, and secondary roads are currently under assessment.  For more information about recreation areas, contact the Florida Division of Forestry at 850-957-6140 ext. 101.
