TORNADO WATCH, FLOOD WARNING

The Santa Rosa County Emergency Management Division announced at 7:12 a.m. that a tornado watch has been issued for Santa Rosa County until 2 p.m.

 

A watch indicates that conditions are favorable for tornadic activity. Residents should monitor news sources for further information. 

 

The Emergency Management Division also issued a new flood warning last night for residents in the Blackwater River area. New forecast models suggest the Blackwater River will reach a crest of 8 feet Thursday afternoon, reaching the same height as the crest experienced on Monday. Residents along the river and the basins are urged to take precautionary measures immediately.
