Minor Plane Crash at Peter Prince Airport

The plane reportedly crashed during take off and was called in by a driver passing by. One patient had minor injuries and refused medical treatment.  Approximately 10 gallons of fuel was spilled on the runway. 

Santa Rosa County Emergency Communications received a call at 4:06 p.m. reporting a plane crash at Peter Prince Airport located at 5550 North Airport Road in Milton. The aircraft was a fixed wing, single engine model Lancair 0-320. East Milton Fire Department, Santa Rosa County Emergency Management staff and Lifeguard Ambulance Service responded. Incident command has been turned over to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office.

Peter Prince Airport is owned and operated by Santa Rosa County, is located adjacent to Santa Rosa County Industrial Park. Peter Prince has a lighted 3,700 feet hard surface runway and a GPS instrument approach.
