The Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners will meet at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, at its meeting room at 6495 Caroline Street in Milton.

 

The commission canceled its second committee and regular meetings in March so commissioners could attend Florida Association of Counties meetings in Tallahassee. Chairman Don Salter called the special meeting to consider pending business. The special agenda includes:

1.         Call to Order – Chairman Don Salter

 

2.         Review of Proposals for Commercial Property at 8228 Gulf Blvd.

 

3.         Recommend Contract with Florida Department of Community Affairs for CDBG Economic Development project facilitating location of prison facility by GEO Group, Inc.

 

4.         Recommend Participating Party Agreement with GEO Group, Inc. regarding performance responsibilities relative to 2009 CDBG Economic Development grant.

 

5.         Recommend Jones-Phillips and Associates, Inc. for Administrative Services for 2009 CDBG Grant for Economic Development. 

 

6.         Recommend approval of clearing county owned property in Santa Rosa Industrial Park by prospective purchaser (Project Kinetic) pursuant to approved Development Order.

 

7.         Recommend authorization for Chairman to execute Joint Proclamation supporting location of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Integrated Training Center on Eglin AFB.
