Traffic was haulted Saturday, Feb. 20 due to an accident near the Navarre Beach Causeway.
Chandra A. Shackley, 18, was driving west on Navarre Parkway in the left lane to turn on the Navarre Beach Causeway.
Shackley turned left into the path of Melody Necomb, 52, who was traveling east on Navarre Parkway in the inside lane and in the path of Noel Cabel, 20, who was also traveling east.
The front of Necomb’s Nissan truck hit the right side of Shackley’s Ford and caused the Ford to rotate clockwise hitting Cabel’s Honda on the left side.
Shackley’s damages to her 1997 two-door Ford were estimated at $5,000. She sustained minor injuries. Necomb’s 2000 Nissan truck damages were estimated at $3,000 and she sustained serious injuries and was transported to Gulf Breeze Hospital. Cabel’s 1991 two-door Honda damages were estimated at $1,000.
Shackley was charged with turning left in front of approaching traffic.
