Education foundation partners with Mediacom for run

A five-mile run/walk across Garcon Point Bridge will benefit the Santa Rosa Education Foundation.

The foundation is partnering with Mediacom Communications Corporation for the Inaugural Mediacom Garcon Point Bridge Run,  “Connecting Education in Santa Rosa County.”
The event for children and adults supports SREF’s programs, including Take Stock in Children scholarships, teacher grants, the Little Red Schoolhouse teacher supply depot and recognition of teachers and students countywide.
The run starts at 7:30 a.m. Sept. 6.

Advanced registration is encouraged with an entry fee of $15 for children under 18 and $20 for adults. On race day, all registration is $25. Checks should be made payable to the Santa Rosa Education Foundation.
