Officials say bus delays not uncommon

For many students, the first day of school went smoothly – unless they were riding the bus home.

Even though bus drivers had been practicing their new routes since the beginning of August, challenges presented themselves when the students started school Monday.
“There were just a few things, like finding certain roads if the driver was switched or if students were added to a bus,”  said Jacque Cooke, principal of Holley-Navarre Primary.  “But these are not uncommon. We experience things like this every year.”
