Wendell D. Daniel

Wendell D. Daniel, 78, of Navarre, died Wednesday Aug. 13, 2008.

Mr. Daniel was a native of Bassett Virginia but had been a resident of Navarre for the past three years, coming here from Gulfport, Miss. He dedicated 30 years of his life to the U.S.A.F. serving in Korea.

He was a member of St Sylvester Catholic Church, and loved gardening, hunting and fishing. In the words of his family, his grandchildren were his life. He loved them very much.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Nancy Daniel; daughters Lynn (Jack) Kampf and Laura (Robert) Vaughn; sister Avis Roberts; grandchildren Wesley Oliver, Lauren Oliver, Nicole Oliver, Eric Fyke and Reagan Vaughn.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Aug. 16, 2008 at St. Sylvester Catholic Church, with Father John Kelley officiating.

Additional services will be held at a later date with military honors at Barrancas National Cemetery.
