Summit to inspire local leaders

The Community Life Center of Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church will serve as the Gulf Coast host site for The Leadership Summit, an annual gathering of 100,000 church, business and nonprofit leaders in more than 230 cities worldwide.

Gulf Breeze will be assisted by other churches from within the region, including Charity Chapel in Pensacola, Destiny Worship Center in Destin, Spanish Fort United Methodist Church in Spanish Fort, Ala., and Woodlawn United Methodist Church in Panama City Beach.
The summit is Aug. 7-8, and this is the third year Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church has participated.
Church officials confirm that they are expecting almost 400 leaders to attend, including leaders from as far west as New Orleans and as far east as Panama City.

Speakers include Bill Hybels, senior pastor of Willow Creek Community Church; Brad Anderson, vice chairman and CEO of Best Buy; Chuck Colson of Prison Fellowship Ministries; Wendy Kopp, founder and CEO of Teach for America; and more.
