Navarre Beach reef project funded

The Navarre Beach Marine Sanctuary Project is officially fully funded after the April 14 County Commissioner meeting.

The board approved to fund the sanctuary project with District Four recreation funds along with matching funds from the Tourist Development Council, which came from bed tax collections. The total for the project comes out to $150,000, according to Chairman Lane Lynchard, who saw the installation of Casino Beach’s reefs begin on April 13.
