Raiders post first-ever playoff win, 28-7

#5 Leggett TouchdownNavarre High School beat Niceville 28-7 in the first round of the state Class 4A playoffs Friday at Eagle Stadium, the first time the Raiders have won a postseason game in three tries.

Senior Colton Kane threw touchdown passes to Joel Beauchemin and Brad Leggett and ran one in himself and junior running back Dwayne Carter added a late score for Navarre, which improved to 10-1 overall. Navarre will have a chance to avenge its only official loss, to Pine Forest, when the Raiders travel to the Pensacola school for a rematch that kicks off at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

The Raiders are playing in the postseason for the third-time in the program's relatively short history. Navarre won its only district championship in 2006 and was district runner-up in 2007, but the Pace Patriots ended the Raiders' playoff dreams in the first round after each of those seasons.
