The Navarre Press would like to clarify a story printed in today’s newspaper regarding the proposal to move Halloween festivities to Saturday, Oct. 30.
Though commissioners discussed passing a resolution recommending a date change, the commission elected not to move forward with the proposal as they “felt it was not a function of local government to change a day that a holiday is celebrated.”
The staff at the Navarre Press suggests celebrating according on your accord, on the day that best suits your family’s needs.
