Navarre woman strikes building, pedestrian hurt

A Navarre woman allegedly ran her SUV into a Wendy's restaurant wall Thursday afternoon.

According to a news release issued by the Florida Highway Patrol, Courtney D. Conner, 25, was trying to park her 1996 Jeep when her shoe got caught in the brake pedal.  Conner then purportedly "jumped the sidewalk" and struck the West side of the restaurant in Fort Walton Beach, the report said.

A diner, who was seated at a table, was transported to Fort Walton Beach medical center after a portion of the building landed on her.

Alcohol was not a factor in the incident, and Conner was not injured.
