FDOT sets SR 87 Milton bypass meeting

The Florida Department of Transportation has scheduled a scoping meeting for the proposed State Road 87 Connector Project Development and Environmental Study beginning at 10 a.m. July 29, at the Santa Rosa County Commission Chambers, 6495 Caroline St. in Milton.

The Florida-Alabama Transportation Planning Organization has proposed extending SR87 north from its intersection with U.S. Highway 90 east of Milton, curving west to connect with the existing SR 87 route north of Milton.

The meeting will begin with a formal presentation, followed by a site visit. The scoping meeting will allow local, state and federal agencies and area residents an opportunity to review the proposed corridors and discuss possible environmental impacts.

Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability or family status.
