Bodies found from plane crash into Gulf

Part of the wreckage of the T-6 aircraft that went down into the Gulf of Mexico three-quarters of a mile offshore of Destin Friday has been recovered, along with the remains of the two victims on board.

Bob Gretz with the National Transportation Safety Board says salvage crews were able to bring in all but the plane's wings and tail to the Destin Coast Guard station around 4 a.m. Sunday morning.

The remainder of the aircraft will be retrieved in coming days.

The bodies have been turned over to the Okaloosa/Walton Medical Examiner's Office.

The National Transportation Safety Board is in charge of investigating the cause of the accident.
