School Board fills five administrative posts, gives administrators raise

At its May 13 meeting, the Santa Rosa County School Board approved Superintendent Tim Wyrosdick's recommendations to fill five administrative positions and to give a 1.8 percent across-the-board pay raise for administrators.

Buddy Hinote, present principal of Central High School, will be the new director of high schools, a position vacated by Bill Emerson, who moved to the position of assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction.

Three new principals were approved: April Martin, Dixon Intermediate; Steven McHenry, Avalon Middle; and Stephen Shell, Pace High School.

The administrators' pay raise meant that all board employees have now received a 1.8 percent raise, Wyrosdick said in reply to a board member's question.
