NAS to host job fair

Naval Air Station Whiting Field's Fleet and Family Support Center is searching for employers to attend its 20th annual Job Fair Thursday, Aug. 19.

For 20 years the NAS Whiting Field Job Fair has served as the premiere veteran friendly job fair in Northwest Florida. More than 70 employers have attended past fairs and benefited from a wealth of veteran, military and military family job experience.  The 2009 fair attracted more than 1,200 job seekers, making it one of the best values for prospective employers in the region.

Sikes Hall, a spacious, indoor, air-conditioned facility, will house the employers' displays and recruiting booths. Military friendly employers are strongly encouraged to attend.  Naval Air Station Whiting Field's job fair is open to the public, and admission is free.

Areas are available to hold on-the-spot interviews. Booth sites are free, and the site is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m..
