When Denise Haywald, a stay-at-home mom, moved to the Navarre area last year, she looked forward to meeting and mingling with other parents and their children.

A self-proclaimed busy bee, Haywald wanted to book her social calendar with play dates, get-togethers and socials, all to keep her and her 2 1/2-year-old daughter Brooke busy.
But to her dismay, the few mom groups in the area rarely got together for events.
Haywald solved her own problem by forming her own mother’s group – Emerald Coast Hip Mamas – in May. To date, the group has blossomed into 22 members, with 50-plus online members.
