After the revelation of the district’s financial shortfall Aug. 1 and the possible negative impact it would have, several residents and district firefighters were in attendance, expressing their dissatisfaction with the fire commission.
“If you’re not going to put 100 percent into this district then please step down and find someone else who will,” said Howie Rounsaville, a lieutenant firefighter with the district. “If you believe in the citizens, then help us do our jobs because you’re not.”
