Everyday is dog day at St. Francis

Abbey, a 10-week-old Labrador mix, patiently waits for a new home.St. Francis’ Pet Shop now has dogs available for adoption everyday.

Julie Pierce, from the pet shop, said too many dogs are put down that could be adopted out to loving homes.
That’s why they don’t offer “retail” dogs or cats in the pet shop.
Lately, Pierce and volunteers travel about two hours to Animal Control of West Florida to save dogs that have reached the end of their stay at the Chipley center.
