VanValkenburgh unopposed for fire board

Kevin VanValkenburgh is running for the Holley-Navarre Fire District Fire Commissioner District 5 seat, which is being vacated by J.E. Blankenship. VanValkenburgh is running unopposed.

VanValkenburgh said he brings a wealth of experience to the board.

“I’m a full-time firefighter,” said VanValkenburgh, “I’m a sergeant/paramedic with South Walton Fire Department.” 

“I really don’t have a formal background in finances,” said VanValkenburgh, “but just from the experience I have being around the business for so long I think I understand the budgeting and how it works.”
