Nomads remember on Khobar Towers anniversary

Amid gusting winds and threatening rain clouds of Tropical Storm Debby, Airmen, Marines, Sailors and family members gathered to remember 19 warriors and 12 33rd Fighter Wing Nomads on the 16th anniversary of the Khobar Towers bombing June 25.

Lt. Colonel Matt Glover has been relieved of command of the 8^th Special Operations Squadron following the June 13 crash of the unit’s CV-22 tilt-rotor aircraft on the Eglin Range.

Osprey crash injures five

Silver Star awarded to ‘JAG 28’

The family of U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Mark Forester was at Hurlburt Field on June 15 to receive the airman’s Silver Star, awarded to him for “gallantry and devotion to duty in the dedication of service to his country,” according to the citation accompanying his medal.
