7 Special Forces address military committee

Maj. James Brownlee, public information officer for the 7th Special Forces Group, addressed the Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee on April 2 to brief the group about the transition for the 2,000 soldiers now living and working on the Emerald Coast.

I do travel the circuit as much as I can and everywhere I have been …we have been so welcomed, it’s been kind of overwhelming at times,” Brownlee said.

The 7th is expecting to top out at roughly 2,200 soldiers by October when a fourth battalion is due to arrive. Many of the active duty members are deployed at one time, leaving families behind to navigate their new living area.
