Special Tactics marchers trek through Navarre

Senior Airman Mitch Adams and Staff Sgt. Welby Ramos, two members of the last four-man team of the Tim Davis Special Tactics Memorial March made their way through Navarre at sunrise Wednesday morning, three hours ahead of schedule.

 Active duty airmen marched in teams of four, each covering a section of the 860-mile trek from San Antonio, Texas, to Hurlburt Field. The march is in honor of Special Tactics Airmen killed in Iraq and Afghanistan during combat operations since Sept. 11, 2001.

There will be a meet and greet for media at 11 a.m. at Helen Back Café in Navarre, followed by a ceremonial march covering the last 5-mile leg of their journey. The marchers will be joined by other active duty airmen at Hurlburt Field.
