Slife puts 20th SOS locker questions to rest

The removal of the memorial lockers from the building that housed that 20th Special Operations Squadron has upset former squadron members and civilian supporters of the crew known as Pave Low.

However, clarification from the 1st Special Operations Wing commander, Col. Jim Slife, on the issues surrounding the events should ease tensions.

Renovations to the building occurred roughly six months ago, and the contents of the lockers were packed and stored within the building. Family members were supposed to have been contacted, but at least one spouse, Kara Kerwood, said she was not made aware of the removal of the lockers.

Slife answered questions about the way in which family members were informed of the removal of the lockers from the former 20th SOS squadron.
