Veteran’s Summit to connect vets, community

The United Way of Santa Rosa County (UWSRC) and the Center for Strategic Military Excellence (CSME) have partnered together to present the first Gulf Coast Veterans Summit on Sept. 29 at the Santa Rosa County Auditorium in Milton.

The summit is intended to connect veterans, community members, local businesses and non profits together into a network to aid the growing number of veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan who are in need of social services.

The goal of the summit was to encourage existing service providers to learn more about each others services and to network together to help close gaps that exist in veteran care.
