Still fighting

During the 1950s and ’60s, if you were male and not enrolled as a fulltime student, it didn’t take long for the government to send you a draft notice.

5_21_burt_text.jpgBenny Burt graduated high school in Montgomery, Ala., in 1966. He and his wife, Shirley, had been married for about two months when he received his notice in 1967.
