Eglin wins AF food service award

Eglin Air Force Base will receive a 2009 John L. Hennessy Award for the best Air Force food services in the world ─ and more than 70 employees of Gulf Coast Enterprises will share the honor.

A vocational program of Lakeview Center Inc., GCE has a contract to provide food services at Eglin AFB and nearby Duke Field Air Force Reserve Command, which also will receive a Hennessy Award. Eglin’s award is in the category for Air Force installations with multiple dining facilities, and Duke’s is in the category for reserve commands. The same GCE employees work at both installations.
