The Double Bridge Run, held on Feb. 6, is one of the area’s most popular races. About 1,500 runners started out in downtown Pensacola for the 15K course at 7 a.m. The course took them over the Three Mile Bridge, through Gulf Breeze and over the Bob Sikes Bridge to Pensacola Beach.
Another 900 lined up behind the football stadium at Gulf Breeze High School an hour later to begin the shorter 5K course over the Bob Sikes Bridge.
