
Warren E. (Charlie) Brown, 79 of Navarre died Friday January 14, 2011.
He was born January 8, 1932, in Hamlet, North Carolina. Warren served in the US Air Force 271/2 years and retired as a Senior Master Sergeant in 1978. Since his retirement, he was active in civic and military affairs in both Santa Rosa and Okaloosa Counties. He was a life member of the Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce having served as director and a year as Executive Director. Warren was an active member of First Baptist Church, Fort Walton Beach, where he served in a number of capacities.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Latham Brown and Ruth Cleveland Brown, sisters, Camile B. Frieson and Louise B. Stone and brother, Louis L. Brown, Jr.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of fifty five years, Shirley L. Brown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11;00 A.M. Wednesday January 19, 2011 at Lewis Funeral Home, Navarre Chapel with Dr. Howard Gates officiating, burial will follow in the Barrancas National Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service begins at Lewis Funeral Home, Navarre Chapel.
