“We found out that she has chronic kidney disease and that she is in the last stages of kidney use,” said Keree Perlis, Gabee’s mother. “She was always tired and had missed a lot of school, so we did some blood work and found out she has kidney failure.”
The family learned that Gabee, 13, would have to have a kidney transplant. They will find out who the donor will be next week.
