Garcon Point Bridge Run for education approaches

Santa Rosa Education Foundation’s bridge run is almost here.

The inaugural Mediacom Garcon Point Bridge Run, “Connecting Education in Santa Rosa County” will begin at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at the Lowe's/Wal-Mart Parking Lot, 1421 Tiger Park Lane in Gulf Breeze.
The five-mile run will not only get the community into shape, but will help with the financial burden the school district is facing.
“All proceeds from the Inaugural Mediacom Garcon Point Bridge Run will go to the Santa Rosa Education Foundation to administer and run its programs, all of which directly benefit teachers and students in Santa Rosa County,” said Cathy Purdon, executive director of Santa Rosa Education Foundation.
