Recovery Takes Root at Twelve Oaks

September is Recovery Month, and the staff and alumni of Twelve Oaks Recovery Center in Navarre celebrated Sept. 21 with a ribbon cutting and open house titled Recovery Takes Root at the campus.

Recovery Month is sponsored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), a branch of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and has been observed each September for the last 23 years. 

“Recovery Month spreads the positive message that behavioral health is essential to overall health, that prevention works, treatment is effective and people can and do recover,” the SAMHSA website states.
