Many Americans take their vision for granted. For those lucky enough to have accurate vision, it can be difficult to imagine the struggles a child can face when his or her vision begins to decline.
Prevent Blindness America sponsors Children’s Eye Health and Safety Month each year to raise awareness for the need to screen young children for potential vision problems. PBA estimates that more than one in four school-age children in the United States, roughly 12.1 million children, has a vision problem.
