Obesity a growing problem in SRC schools

 

The number of overweight and obese children in Santa Rosa County Schools is on the rise, according to a report from the Santa Rosa County Health Department.

At the Aug. 23 meeting of the SRC school board, Debbie Price, school nurse supervisor with the health department, presented the most recent data on the body mass index (BMI) of the county’s first, third and sixth grade students.
